Hartem placed four players in double figures while cruising
to the victory.
The Stags jumped out to an 18-6 first quarter lead and by the
half still maintained a 20-10 lead over the Ducks.
By the end of the third quarter the lead had grown to 53-31 and
when it was all said and done the Stags stellar performance was
capped off with a 70-43 win in front of the hometown crowd.
A nice way to bounce back after last Friday night’s home loss to
Mount Pulaski, according to Head Coach Jason Garber. “Our guys
responded well and played extremely hard for 32 minutes,” said
the coach. “We took high quality shots and shared the ball
extremely well, which led to a lot of guys scoring for us
tonight.” The Stags were led by Alec Hayes with 19 points while
Alex Vetter contributed 13 points and Antonio Coit-Kirk and Zach
Phillips each tossed in 10 points.
Hartem’s record is now 8-7 and the Stags will host Lewistown
Friday night for their Homecoming game.
