- Members of the Logan County Tourism Bureau prepare to go into
Executive Session at their Monday evening meeting.
The topic would be the selection of a new full-time tourism
director. The bureau has been actively searching for a new director
for the past two weeks and received 19 resumes for the position. A
committee made up of Emily Davenport, Steve Parrott and Ron Keller
conducted interviews and narrowed the field to four to present to
the full board on Monday evening.
The board met for quite some time and in the end voted unanimously
to hire Bill Hoagland of Lincoln. Hoagland is a Logan County native,
who returned to his hometown several years ago to take on the
directorship of the Main Street Lincoln organization. Sasse reported
that Hoagland has been notified and has happily accepted the job
saying he is excited and ready to get started.
Hoagland will start this Wednesday, January 11th. Sasse said there
is a grant writing webinar that Hoagland will participate in on his
first day of duty as the new Director of the Tourism Bureau.
