The Stags led this one 19-16 after one quarter as senior Alec
Hayes poured in 10 first quarter points.
At the half Hartem managed a solid 36-26 lead.
Lewistown narrowed the gap to 43-39 at the end of three by
outscoring the home team 13-7 in that quarter.
Lewistown managed to cut the lead to 46-44 with 4:30 left in the
game but Brady Wolpert’s 9 points in the fourth quarter managed
to ignite the Stags and allow them to pull away for the 60-51
victory.
Hartem was also near-perfect from the free throw line, making 17
of 19 shots from the charity stripe.
Hartem was led in scoring by Alec Hayes with 22 points and
Brady Wolpert with 20 points.
One final note from Friday night. The Stags did not have a
Royalty Court for basketball homecoming since their formal
homecoming is in the fall.
