Obituary
Donna Short, 84, of Bulverde, TX, formerly of
Lincoln passed away at 9:04 a.m. on Thursday,
December 22, 2016 in Bulverde, TX.
Donna was born on March 15, 1932 in Waynesville,
daughter of Earl and Christine (Fratz) Rich. She
married Thomas Short, on October 23, 1954 in
Waynesville. He preceded her in death on November 3,
1995.
Donna is survived by one son, Jeffrey (Brenda) Short
of Lincoln, one daughter, Janet (Rick) Morrow of
Bulverde, TX; one sister, Phyllis Winter of Normal,
her grandchildren, Adam (Nicole) Morrow of St.
Charles, and Janelle (Daniel) Kachtik of Bulverde,
TX, and one great-grandchild Scarlet Kachtik. Donna
was preceded in death by her parents, her husband,
and one infant son.

Donna was a member of the First United Methodist
Church, Ruth Circle, American Legion Auxiliary, the
Republican Precinct Committee for nine years, and
The Republican Women of Logan County. Donna
graduated from Waynesville High School. Donna also
graduated from Brown Business College in 1953.
Services for Donna will be held at 3:00 p.m. on
Friday, January 6, 2017 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln with Fr. Dave Klug
Officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the
service from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 6,
2017 also at the funeral home. Burial will take
place in Zion Cemetery after the services.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made
to Central Bark Dog Park or American Legion Post
#263.
