Kyle Shanahan is the favorite to be named head coach of the San
Francisco 49ers.
Multiple outlets reported Monday that the 49ers are zeroing in on
Shanahan, offensive coordinator of the Atlanta Falcons and one of
three known candidates to interview with owner Jed York for the job,
which is open for the fourth time in four years.

New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels withdrew
from consideration to become the next head coach of the San
Francisco 49ers, who are now setting their sights on Atlanta Falcons
offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan.
McDaniels interviewed during the wild-card weekend when the Patriots
had a bye and would be eligible to speak to the 49ers again after

Chip Kelly could be going coast-to-coast again, interviewing to
become offensive coordinator of the Jacksonville Jaguars two weeks
after Kelly was fired as head coach of the San Francisco 49ers.
Kelly was fired by the Philadelphia Eagles less than three seasons
into his tenure as head coach in December 2015, but remained out of
work only one month before the 49ers hired him last January.

Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin is not spotted on a video
posted by wide receiver Antonio Brown, but his message to the team
following the AFC Divisional Playoff win at Kansas City comes
through loud and clear.
Tomlin is heard addressing the team and the hand they were dealt in
starting preparations for the AFC Championship Game at Foxborough,
Mass., against the New England Patriots, all while reminding the
players in the locker room to keep a low profile.
"When you get to this point in the journey, man, not a lot needs to
be said," Tomlin can be heard barking on the video. "Let's say very
little moving forward. Let's start our preparations. We just spotted
these a--h---- a day and a half. They played yesterday. Our game got
moved to tonight. We're going to touch down at 4 o'clock in the
f---ing morning. So be it. We'll be ready for their a--. But you
ain't got to tell them we're coming. Keep a low profile, and let's
get ready to ball like this up again here in a few days and be right
back at it. That's our story."

Travis Kelce pinned the Kansas City Chiefs' 18-16 loss to the
Pittsburgh Steelers on poor officiating.
Specifically, the Pro Bowl tight end said the holding call on Chiefs
left tackle Eric Fisher -- flagged for pulling Steelers outside
linebacker James Harrison to the ground on a game-tying two-point
conversion pass completion by quarterback Alex Smith -- was bogus.

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott wants to see "closure"
on the NFL's domestic violence inquiry related to the assault
accusations made by his ex-girlfriend over the summer.
Elliott, the league's leading rusher this season as a rookie, was
accused of a second domestic violence incident involving the woman,
who said she was hurt in a July argument.

Rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott, the league's leading rusher,
was among four Dallas Cowboys players named to the Pro Football
Writers of America All-NFL Team announced on Monday.
The Cowboys and Kansas City Chiefs each placed a league-high four
players on the 2016 All-NFL Team in voting conducted by the
