9, 2017, at 8:10 p.m. at The Christian Village Nursing Home in

Obituary
Phyllis C. Gordon, 89, of Atlanta, passed away on
Monday, January 9, 2017, at 8:10 p.m. at The
Christian Village Nursing Home in Lincoln.
Funeral services for Mrs. Gordon will be held on
Friday, January 13, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at
Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home. Mr. Ryan
Edgecombe will officiate. Burial will be in the
Atlanta Cemetery.
Phyllis C. Chrisman was born May 10, 1927, in
Atlanta, the daughter of Leonard and Nannie
Chrisman. She married William Martin Gordon on June
15, 1945. He preceded Phyllis in death on November
16, 1982.
Phyllis is survived by one daughter, Susan Gordon
and one grandson, Scott Hern.

She was preceded in death by three brothers: Lyle Chrisman,
Wayne Chrisman, and Wendell Chrisman, and one sister: Eva Lake;
and two great-grandsons: Scott Dean Hern and Trayce Martin Hern.
Phyllis was a graduate of Atlanta High School. She retired from
General Electric in Bloomington. She was a member of the Atlanta
Christian Church.
Memorials may be made to The Christian Village Nursing Home
Activity Department.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley Funeral
Home of Atlanta.
