			Lincoln, passed away at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 26, 2016, at 
			Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln. |

							Obituary 
							Jack J. LaMothe, 90, of Lincoln, passed away at 5:00 
							p.m. on Monday, December 26, 2016, at Abraham 
							Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.
 Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on 
							Saturday, December 31, 2016, at Holy Family Church 
							in Lincoln. Rev. Jeffrey G. Laible will officiate. 
							Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in 
							Lincoln. Cremation Rites have been accorded.
 
 Jack Joseph LaMothe was born November 30, 1926, in 
							Chicago, the son of John J. and Mary Schmidt LaMothe. 
							He married Ann Huff in Lincoln on October 31, 1959. 
							She survives.
 
 Also surviving are their children: Mark (Diane) 
							LaMothe and Amy (Randy) LaMothe Lee; four 
							grandchildren: Sidney Lee, Kenzie Lee, Shane Gutmann, 
							and Randy Guttman.

                Jack was preceded in death by one brother, Jim LaMothe.
 Jack was a 1945 graduate of Lincoln Community High School. After 
				graduation, he served our nation in the Army Air Force. Upon 
				completion of his service, Jack worked at Kickapoo Press and as 
				a movie projectionist while going to school and getting his 
				private pilot license. He graduated from Bradley University in 
				1955 and worked at Stetsons China. After marriage, he became 
				manager of and flight instructor for the Logan County Airport, 
				until he finally landed his dream job as a pilot for the State 
				of Illinois, where he worked for over 25 years. He was a member 
				of Lincoln Knights of Columbus #1250, AARP, Lincoln American 
				Legion Post #263, and Pine Island Moose Lodge 1954 in Florida.
 
 Memorials may be made to Holy Family Church or Carroll Catholic 
				School.
 
 Final arrangements are entrusted with Peasley Funeral Home in 
				Lincoln.
