							Obituary 
							 
							Robert W. “Bob” Westen, 81, of Mount Pulaski, passed 
							away at 7:20 a.m. Thursday January 12, 2017 at his 
							residence. 
 Bob was born on August 2, 1935 in Logan County, the 
							son of Harm and Louise (Sams) Westen. He married 
							Donna Allison on December 17, 1954 in Latham.
 
 Bob is survived by his wife Donna, his children Kim 
							(Doug) Chandler of Decatur, Kristy Westen of Mount 
							Pulaski, Casey (Stephanie) Westen of Latham, 
							“adoptive son” Bruce (Sue) Lamb of Latham, his 
							brother Roger “Butch” (Judy) Westen of Beason, his 
							grandchildren Libby (Steve) Hayes of Cerro Gordo, 
							Blake (Alice) Smith of Decatur, PFC Kyle Westen of 
							Fort Stewart, GA and Colton Westen of Latham, and 
							five great-grandchildren, Josh, Jacob and Hannah 
							Hayes and Ava and Gianna “Gigi” Smith.
 
							He was preceded in death by his sons Terry and Randy 
							Westen.

							Bob was a retired farmer and Lake Fork Township Road 
							Commissioner for many years. He was also a member of 
							the American Herford Association, Logan County 4H, 
							Logan County Fair supporter and enjoyed raising and 
							showing cattle with his kids and grandkids. 
 Services for Bob will be at 6:00 p.m. Monday January 
							16, 2017 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in 
							Mount Pulaski. with Rev. Mark Morgan officiating. 
							Visitation will be two hours prior to services from 
							4:00-6:00 p.m. Private graveside services will be 
							held at Lake Bank Cemetery at a later date.
 
 Memorials may be made in Bob’s name to the Logan 
							County 4H.
 
 Services are entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader 
							Funeral Home, Mount Pulaski.
