Crusaders win Logan County Eighth Grade Tournament

The first round of the 8th grade Logan County tournament was
played Wednesday evening at Chester-East Lincoln.
In the night-cap, the Crusaders of Carroll Catholic/New
Holland-Middletown/Zion Lutheran Schools came away victorious
against the Wolverines of West Lincoln-Braodwell by a score of
48-28.
Leading the way for the Crusaders was Dylan Singleton with 28
points, followed by Andrew Graue with 9, Trent Koehler with 8 and
Jared Helton with 4 points.
Scoring for WLB was Patrick McCraith and Lucas Konczyk with 9 a
piece, Elijah Pollice with 8 and Brent Saylor with 2.
On Thursday evening, the Crusaders of came away with the county
championship in a win against Mount Pulaski by a score of 43-37.

Leading the way for the Crusaders was Dylan Singleton with 23 and
Andrew Graue with 17. Also scoring for the Crusaders was Jared
Merriman with 2 and Jared Helton with 1.

Mount Pulaski was led by Drew Martin with 11, Lane Murphy with 8 and
6 each from Cooper, Lawson and Schneider.
The Crusaders head into regionals with a record of 17-3.
Earlier in the evening, West Lincoln-Broadwell won the 3rd place
game.
