[January 24, 2017]  MASON CITY - Donald L. Hall, 53, of Mason City, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at 5:14 am in Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.

Visitation: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2017, at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Heyworth.

Service:  3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home

Obituary

Donald L. Hall, 53, of Mason City, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at 5:14 am in Memorial Medical Center, Springfield. Visitation will be from 1-3 pm Saturday, January 21, 2017, at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Heyworth. Funeral service is at 3 pm also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Randolph Township Cemetery, Heyworth. Military honors by Carl E. Miller Post 624, Heyworth. Memorial donations may be made to the Family.

Donald was born December 20, 1963, to Donald L. and Lorraine Collins Hall in St. Louis, MO. They preceded him in death.

Surviving are: wife Connie Leamon-Hall – Mason City; children Josh, Hannah, and Sarah Sherman all of Bloomington, Colton Hall – Effingham, Jacob Hall – Newton, Ashtyn Hall – Louisville, step children Chet (Lizz) Leamon, Casey (Josh) Ring, and Christina (James) Jones all of Mason City, four brothers Robert (Cindy) Sampson – O’Fallon, MO, Tim (Carol) Sampson – St. Louis, MO, Richie (Janet) Daughty – Heyworth, and Patrick (Judy) Daughty – Lehigh Acres, FL; one sister Janice (Brian) Kindred – Heyworth, numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his step-father Richard Daughty

Donald was a member of the Army Nat’l Guard serving in the early 80’s in the Panama region. He was an avid Cardinal and Packer Fan. Most of all he loved the outdoors. He loved to go fishing and always went mushroom hunting during season.

Donald was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and devoted friend who will be deeply missed.
