[January 28, 2017]   Jan 27 (The Sports Xchange) - The Arizona Coyotes assigned forward Christian Fischer to the Tucson Roadrunners of the American Hockey League on Friday.

Fischer scored two goals in three games with the Coyotes this season and became the first player in franchise history to score a goal in each of his first two career NHL games.

Fischer was originally drafted by the Coyotes in the second round (32nd overall) of the 2015 NHL draft.

The Washington Capitals reassigned forward Chandler Stephenson to the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League.

Stephenson, 22, played in two games with the Capitals this season with two shots on goal. He played in nine games with Washington last season, making his NHL debut on Oct. 15, 2015.

The Buffalo Sabres reassigned defenseman Casey Nelson to the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.

In 16 career games with the Sabres during the last two seasons, the Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., native has four assists, 14 shots on goal and 10 penalty minutes.

The Minnesota Wild reassigned defenseman Mike Reilly to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League.

Reilly, 23, recorded 14 shots on goal and averaged 12:45 in time on ice per game in 13 contests with Minnesota this season. (Editing by Andrew Both)
