The Lincoln girls Varsity basketball team had a makeup game
Monday night at Southeast and fresh off their 4-1 finish in the CS8
Non-City Tournament the Lady Railers handed CS8 rivals Southeast a
59-47 loss.
Kennedy Lolling led the Lady Railers with 18 points. Kaelyn Froebe,
a Sports 1450 Prime Time Performer nominee this week, had 17 points
in the win.
The Lady Railers had an 11-8 lead over Southeast at the end of the
first quarter.
By the half the Lady Railers still had a 25-20 lead.
Lincoln added to that lead in the third quarter by outscoring the
Lady Spartans 16-10.
Lincoln cruised to the 59-47 victory with balanced scoring in the
fourth quarter from the Lolling twins, Froebe and Emerie Wieber.
JV
The Lady Railers JV team also marched into Southeast Monday night
and dominated the Lady Spartans JV team the entire contest. Lincoln
won easily 59-25.
The Lady Railers were led by Madelyn Koehler with 21 points. Leah
Schneider also tossed in 15 points and Mackenzie Antoine contributed
14 points in the win.
Lincoln led 24-4 after the first quarter as Koehler had 11 of those
points.
Lincoln continued their hot shooting in the second quarter, putting
up 23 more points. Antoine had 10 points in that second quarter.
Lincoln’s 47-12 lead at the half was also thanks to a quiet 15
points scored by Schneider in the first half.
Lincoln cooled things off a bit in the second half, but Koehler
continued to play on fire. The freshman scored eight more points
here and Lincoln built a 40-point lead over the Lady Spartans,
56-16.
Playing the last eight minutes out just for fun Lincoln finally
settled on a 59-25 victory.
