On Sunday, Park
Meadows Church in Lincoln hosted a special "Hero Sunday" event
honoring the many local first responders in the area.
The event was well attended by the church family and special guests
from local law enforcement, firefighters, and emergency responders.
In addition, several public officials attended including local
elected officials, as well as Governor Bruce Rauner and his wife,
Diana.
After the service the local heroes were gifted with a free steak
dinner at Bonanza Restaurant in Lincoln.
