							Obituary 
							 
							Betty G. Moriearty, 84, of Lincoln passed away at 
							8:55 p.m. July 5, 2017 at St. John’s Hospital of 
							Springfield. 
							 
							Betty was born May 25, 1933 in Waynesville, daughter 
							of H. William and Dora (Westerfield) Hindman. She 
							married John C. Moriearty on August 16, 1959. He 
							preceded her in death on February 3, 1991. 
							 
							Surviving Betty are her children John K. Moriearty 
							of Tampa, FL, Brian Moriearty of Aurora, CO, and 
							Erin (Jeff) Farmer of Middletown, four 
							grandchildren: Matthew Moriearty, Kyle (Esther) 
							Farmer, Chase Farmer, and Ryan Farmer; one 
							great-grandchild: Henry Farmer; one sister-in-law: 
							Barbara Hindman of Astatula, FL. She was preceded in 
							death by her parents, one brother: Bill E. Hindman, 
							and one grandson Brock Farmer. 
							 
							She was employed by State Farm Insurance Company 
							immediately following high school graduation, 
							operated an in home daycare, and was employed at 
							Family Medical Center.

							After retirement she volunteered at American Red 
							Cross, Meals on Wheels, Abraham Lincoln Memorial 
							Hospital, and office of St. John United Church of 
							Christ, where she was a member. She enjoyed 
							traveling (planning trips from beginning to end), 
							was an avid reader, most of all she treasured her 
							family and spending time with them. 
							 
							Graveside services for Betty will be 2:00 p.m. 
							Monday July 10, 2017 at New Union Cemetery with Rev. 
							Kenneth Kramer officiating.  
							 
							Memorials may be made in Betty’s name to The Lincoln 
							Public Library, 725 Pekin St. Lincoln, IL 62656.  
							 
							Services are entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader 
							Funeral Home in Lincoln.
