St. John United Church of Christ and the Lincoln Rotary Club are
hosting a Culver’s night to raise funds for naloxone (Narcan) kits
to be used by first responders. Naloxone is an opiate antidote. It
is used to reverse an overdose form opioids including heroin,
morphine, codeine, oxycodone, methadone and Vicodin. If given to a
person who has not taken opioids, it will not have any effect on him
or her, since there is no opioid overdose to reverse.
