July 14 (The Sports Xchange) - The New York Knicks now appear to be
pausing trade talks involving 10-time NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony.
The Knicks want to pursue a conversation with Anthony about possibly
reincorporating him into the organization, league sources told ESPN.
After talking with the Houston Rockets and Cleveland Cavaliers over
the past month about a possible deal for Anthony, the Knicks told
both teams they are stepping back from trade talks for a short time,
according to the report.

The Toronto Raptors completed the trade with the Indiana Pacers,
acquiring draft rights to forward Emir Preldzic in exchange for
point guard Cory Joseph.
Earlier this week the Raptors acquired veteran swingman C.J. Miles
in a sign-and-trade deal from the Pacers for Joseph.

The Los Angeles Lakers officially signed shooting guard Kentavious
Caldwell-Pope, the team announced.
Pope received a one-year deal worth $18 million, according to
multiple reports. His agreement with the Lakers was reported earlier
this week.
Caldwell-Pope averaged 13.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and a career-high
