Obituary
Sue Mary Brown, 79, of Lincoln, passed away June
30, 2017, at her residence.
Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry
& Bennett Funeral Home. There will be no visitation.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. July
14, 2017, at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mrs. Brown was born June 21, 1938, in Peoria, the
daughter of William Welch and Edith (Voyles) Welch.
She was a former employee of the Hotel Lincoln and
the Gem Lunch Room. She loved cats and cared for
many throughout her life.
Survivors include: daughters Carol Shroyer ( Larry
Roof) of Lincoln, Pam Brown of Springfield, and
daughter Tammy Shull (Colin) of Lincoln;
grandchildren: Cody Shull, LaTisha Culler (Chad),
and Shannon Shroyer; great-grandchildren: Andrew
Shroyer, Gabriella Graham (Nathan), and Konnor
Paswater; great-great-grandchild Keaton Graham;
brother Milton Welch (Judith) of Lincoln; and her
feline companion Bootsie. |
She was preceded in death by her parents, nephew
Douglas Welch, and great-nephew, Justin Welch.
Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society
of Logan County or the Logan County Animal Control.
