Memorial’s Festival of Trees seeks designers

[July 28, 2017]  SPRINGFIELD – Limited designer opportunities remain available for Memorial’s 28th annual Festival of Trees, “Skates, Sleds, and Snow,” which will be held Nov. 18-26 in the Orr Building on the Illinois State Fairgrounds.

Designers are needed to decorate 7-foot trees, 4-foot trees, and wreaths. Designers receive complimentary tickets to the Festival of Trees and the gala as well as recognition in promotional materials. Designer contracts are due by September 1st.

“The artistic talent of people in our community is amazing,” said Amanda Johnson, event manager of the festival. “Our visitors truly enjoy the variety of styles and creativity displayed by the festival’s designers.”

During the past 27 years, the Festival of Trees has raised more than $4.6 million for health-related projects, programs and research within Memorial Health System and the communities it serves.
