July 28 (The Sports Xchange) - Boston Red Sox
left-hander David Price is headed back to the disabled list and
will miss his scheduled start Friday night against the Kansas
City Royals due to a recurrence of his elbow ailment.
The team announced Friday that Price was placed on the 10-day
disabled list (retroactive to July 25) with left elbow
inflammation.

The Houston Astros activated left-hander Dallas Keuchel from the
10-day disabled list and placed fellow All-Star George Springer
on the DL with an ailing left quad.
Keuchel will make his first start in nearly two months Friday in
the series opener against the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park.
The ace owned a 9-0 mark with a 1.67 ERA prior to being placed
on the DL with neck inflammation on June 5.

The Seattle Mariners re-acquired right-hander Erasmo Ramirez
from the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for right-handed reliever
Steve Cishek.
Ramirez, who was traded by Seattle to Tampa Bay on March 31,
2015, is under team control through the 2019 season.

The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired right-handed pitcher Luke
Farrell in a trade with the Kansas City Royals for cash
considerations, the teams announced.
Farrell, 26, made one major league start this season with the
Royals, giving up five runs on seven hits and three walks with
two strikeouts on July 1 against the Minnesota Twins.
