LINCOLN
- Kari and Bryan had to be convinced to cook steak in Lincoln. By
winning the steak category in Lincoln, they earned an automatic
entry or Golden Ticket that allowed them to compete at the World
Food Championships for 2016.
Kari and Bryan Luke of "It's Five O'clock Somewhere" were crowned
World Food Champions by winning The Steak Round this past November
at the World Food Championships in Alabama winning $10,000 for their
effort.
Yes, they won the Superbowl of food competitions! The Lukes
advanced on to the finals and won it all taking home $100,000!
This year's event
Friday Night
Steaks will be distributed at the Steak Cooks
meeting at 5:45 p.m. Friday June 2nd to be held at our event tent on
Kickapoo Street immediately following the KCBS Cooks Dinner and
meeting. Tentative turn in time will be at 7:30 p.m.

The Friday Night Steak Cook Off will be scored
according to KCBS rules and be supervised by our onsite KCBS Reps.
The winner of The Friday Night Steak Cook off will
be awarded an entry into the World Food Championships. More info to
be posted soon.
Our purse will pay the following:
1st Place $500
2nd Place $300
3rd Place $200
4th Place $150
5th Place $100
