[June 16, 2017]  LINCOLN - Do you like to whip up your own recipes? Do you have a flair for the dramatic? Do you dream of competing in one of those reality show-cooking competitions? Why not join a 4-H Food Challenge Spin Club?

The 4-H Food Challenge lets you work with a team of your friends to create a healthy food dish for judges. We will give you the raw ingredients and it is up to you and your team to create your food masterpiece and present it with a creative flair for the judge(s).

Take the challenge and get a group together or come on your own to compete in this 4-H spin club. In addition to the confidence you will gain making creative dishes without a recipe, you could win prizes and awards for your presentation and your dish.

Participants must at least 11 years of age.

Register for one of the three locations:

  • June 28, 29, 30 from 9:00-Noon at Menard County Extension Office

  • July 19, 20, 21 from 9:00 – Noon at the Logan County Extension Office

  • August 7, 8, 9 from 5:00 – 8:00pm at the Sangamon County Extension Office.

Online registration may be competed at http://web.extension.illinois.edu/lms/
