The Coyotes sent left winger Brendan Warren along with a
fifth-round draft choice in 2018 to the Flyers for Cousins and
goaltender Merrick Madsen.
Cousins totaled six goals and 16 points in 60 games for the
Flyers last season. Philadelphia drafted him in the third round
of the 2011 draft and has 12 goals and 27 points in 107
regular-season games.
"We are very pleased to acquire Nick," Arizona general manager
John Chayka said in a statement. "He is a tenacious, versatile,
two-way center who will add grit and energy to our lineup. We're
excited to have him join the Coyotes."
Madsen was Philadelphia's sixth-round pick in 2013 and was
28-6-2 with a 2.11 goals-against average in 36 games for Harvard
last season.
Warren was Arizona's third-round pick in 2015 and the
20-year-old totaled three goals and 10 points in 35 games for
Michigan.
