Virginia May Presswood, 83, of Lincoln, passed
away May 30, 2017, at St. Clara's Manor.
Graveside services will be held Friday, June 2,
2017, at 10 a.m. in Harmony Cemetery, Beason. There
will be no visitation. Holland Barry & Bennett
Funeral Home has been entrusted with her care.
Virginia was born October 5, 1933, in Lincoln, the
daughter of Howard and Irene (Hardy) Rigg. She
married George Presswood on November 11, 1953, in
Lincoln. He preceded her in death on March 18, 2013.
Surviving are her son Garron (Judy) Presswood;
grandchildren: Brittani Kimmel, Stacy Peacock,
Amanda (Deron) Logan, and Shane Presswood; six
great-grandchildren; brother Charles (Shirley) Rigg,
and sister Joan (James) Sheley. She was preceded in
death by her parents and her husband George. |
Virginia enjoyed knitting and reading. She was a
loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She retired from Lincoln Developmental Center after
may years of service as a technician and an LPN.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart
Association.
