MOUNT
PULASKI - Skye Kretzinger, daughter of Joe and Tiffany Kretzinger of
Chestnut, has been named February - Senior-of-the-Month at Mount
Pulaski High School. She was selected for this honor based on the
criteria of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

Skye stays actively involved at MPHS. She has been a member of FFA
for the last 3 years. Last year she served as Chapter Reporter and
currently she is serving as Chapter Vice President. She has also
been a member of FCCLA, Yearbook Committee, Spirit Squad, and a
Legacy Leader. She is also active in student council; she is
currently serving as president. She is also currently the Senior
Class Secretary. Skye also was a member of the basketball team for
the 2013-2014 season.
Skye has accumulated many awards during her time at MPHS. She was
the 2015 and 2016 Ag Science Fair Winner. U of I top 5 Science Fair
winner, and Women Changing the Face of Agriculture 2015 and 2016
winner. She also won an award for FFA Greenhand and chapter degree.
Currently, Skye is working on her state degree.

Skye is currently undecided on her major, but plans to pursue a degree in
agriculture at an undecided college.
The Senior-of-the-Month program is sponsored by Johnson True Value Hardware.
Monthly award winners receive a $50 award paid to the college they plan to
attend. They are also in the running for the $500 Senior-of-the-Year award
sponsored by Illinois National Bank.
