WASHINGTON
- LeFleur Floral Design & Events, owned and operated by Amy
(Rohrer) and Brent Morgan recently received the 2017 Washington,
Illinois Beautification Award at the Annual Washington Day Banquet.

Morgan, daughter of Jim and Deb Rohrer of Lincoln, Illinois has
owned LeFleur since April of 2014. The Business Beautification Award
is presented for outside improvements to a commercial property,
located in the Washington area, which adds to the neighborhood’s
beauty and community pride. The work must have been completed in
2015 or 2016, and the winner must be a Washington Illinois Chamber
member.
Amy is one of Washington’s most exuberant small business owners. She
encourages everyone, business owners and consumers alike, to Shop
Local, Shop Small, and Shop Washington! She believes in
Community…and she proves it day in and day out with her business and
personal life.
The Morgans recently gutted and completely remodeled the building at
the corner of Peoria Street and Bondurant Street, which was the
former home of Wieland’s Lawn Mower Hospital. Her vision for her
business, and for the community, has always been creative and
positive. Once the decision was made to move to a new and more
efficient facility off the square, she completely transformed the
old warehouse inside and out to become an exceptional experience as
soon as you walk in the door or even drive by.
Amy, her family and team worked very hard to not only make their new
location functional for the LeFleur team, but also included some
amazing details to be enjoyed as you visit and shop. One wall inside
the showroom is sided with 150 year old barn wood that was part of a
corn crib owned by the first Rohrers. Workstations were personalized
to each employee.

For example, the new design center is “Mia’s Garden” in memory of designer Val's
late mother, allowing Val to work every day in her mom’s garden. In addition, a
new consultation room was prepared to be a warm, inviting private space to meet
with families and couples.
The outside of the building was transformed by painting it black; and a
beautiful new logo was hand-painted onto the front of the building. LeFleur
Floral does an outstanding job of decorating the outside of the building
depending on the season or holiday. The contrast of the black building with the
outdoor décor creatively designed by the team is definitely a beautiful addition
to the drive down Peoria Street. The entire process was completed in just a
little over a month in the fall of 2016.
From fresh Floral designs, custom silk wreaths and designs to home decor, gifts
and Wedding and Event production, the talented staff at LeFleur is always ready
to assist you with all of your floral and specialty needs, keeping up-to-date on
all the latest trends. And now they have a beautiful new extraordinary location
from which to serve the Washington community.
