Larry L. Lohrenz, 76, of Lincoln passed away at his home on
Thursday, February 23, 2017. Larry was born on August 8, 1940 in
Lincoln, IL, the son of Stanley and Leona (Bentley) Lohrenz. Larry
married his high school sweetheart, Karen Newman, on August 26, 1961
in Lincoln, IL, she survives.

Visitation:
Visitation will be held two hours prior to the
service (9:00-11:00A.M.) also at the church.
Service:
Services for Larry will be held at 11:00A.M. on
Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Holy Family Church in
Lincoln, with Rev. Jeffrey Laible officiating.

Larry L. Lohrenz, 76, of Lincoln passed away at his
home on Thursday, February 23, 2017. Larry was born
on August 8, 1940 in Lincoln, IL, the son of Stanley
and Leona (Bentley) Lohrenz. Larry married his high
school sweetheart, Karen Newman, on August 26, 1961
in Lincoln, IL, she survives.
Larry is also survived by his children; Eric
Lohrenz, Todd (Lynn) Lohrenz, and Michelle (Glenn)
Putnal; his brother, David (Sheila) Lohrenz; and his
grandchildren, Courtney Lohrenz, Evan Lohrenz,
MacKenzie Putnal, Glenn “Bro” Putnal, Cooper Putnal,
and Mallory Putnal.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his
twin sister, Linda Robinson.

Larry was a member of Holy Family Church in
Lincoln. He was a carpenter by trade; he lived with
his family for over 40 years in the house that he
built. Larry retired from Logan Correctional Center
as a carpenter. He had a true passion for
woodworking; he enjoyed making many different pieces
of furniture and loved all kinds of music. Larry
also served as a member of the Carroll Catholic
School Board.
Services for Larry will be held at 11:00A.M. on
Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Holy Family Church in
Lincoln, with Rev. Jeffrey Laible officiating.
Visitation will be held two hours prior to the
service (9:00-11:00A.M.) also at the church. Burial
will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lincoln
following the service. Memorial donations may be
made in Larry’s name to Carroll Catholic School or
Holy Family Parish. Services have been entrusted to
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln. |
