MO-Bap first defeated the LC 'B' squad in two sets 25-15,
25-16.
Kenny Koster led the Lynx with four kills while Will Moore had
three blocks and two kills.
In the second match, the LC 'A' team freshman Charles Carter was
virtually unstoppable, recording a team-high nine kills on just
11 attempts. Carter's effort was not enough though as the Lynx
fell to MO-Bap 25-17, 25-22.
Lincoln drops to 16-6 on the season.
Both teams will be in action this weekend at the MWPVC Crossover
tournament hosted by SIU-Edwardsville.
Lincoln College Coach Mark Tippett: "We did not execute well on
offense at all tonight. The B team struggled to pass the ball to
target off serve receive, but, to their credit, they kept
fighting the entire match. MO-Bap was just too consistent and
wore us down. The A team needs to play a lot better. They
committed too many unforced errors and made mistakes that we
should not be making this time of year. Hopefully, the loss will
be the wake-up call they need to refocus ourselves before the
tournament this weekend."
