Three Trojan wrestlers advance to state

[March 06, 2017]    Lincoln Junior High Trojan wrestling team is advancing three wrestlers to next weekend’s IESA state wrestling finals in DeKalb at the Northern Illinois University convocation center.

Recently 119lb Austin O’Donoghue 41-0 and 155lb Isaiah Sweitzer 35-2 were both champions and 145lb Tony Gandolfi 36-4 finished in 3rd place, to qualify them for the state finals.

It has been a very good season for these three and after advancing five last year, the Trojans wrestling program is on the move.
