O’Donoghue named February LTEC Student of the Month

LINCOLN
- Emma O’Donoghue, daughter of Josh & Lara O’Donoghue, has been
named February Student of the Month in the Health Occupations
program at the Lincolnland Technical Education Center.

Emma is a senior at Lincoln Community High School. Instructor Karen
Graber, selected Emma for excelling in the classroom and being a
team player. Emma has a strong work ethic, is dependable, caring,
compassionate, empathetic and considerate of her patients and others
around her.
She has excellent attendance and is always engaged in the classroom
and laboratory setting. She goes above and beyond what is expected,
has set her career goals and is working hard to achieve them. She is
a dependable, hardworking student and nurse. She performs the
required CNA skills and is self-motivated. Ms. Graber says that Emma
has an aptitude for nursing and will be a great asset to the nursing
profession.

Emma has participated in volleyball, has been Captain for the varsity team and
has earned her three-year varsity letter. She has also been a Basketball
cheerleader and earned her three-year varsity letter. Emma has been a member of
the National Honor Society for two years.
Emma’s future goal includes attending Illinois State University in the fall and
studying nursing.
Emma received a $50 dollars from the Kiwanis Club of Lincoln who sponsors this
award and honored her at a noon luncheon.
