On
Thursday morning, representatives from Lake Land
Community College and Lincoln College met in the
LCTV production building to sign a transfer
agreement between the two schools. Students
attending Lake Land in the two-year Broadcasting
Degree will now have the option to transfer to
Lincoln College to complete their four-year
degree.

SPRINGFIELD
- Thursday marked the seventh anniversary of the Affordable Care
Act. In Springfield, a group gathered to speak out in favor of the
current program. Logan County Democrat Rebecca Drake and four others
from Logan County were in the group of about 30 in attendance.
Drake
was selected by her group to speak to a politician on the phone
regarding the need to maintain the current program. Drake said that
with the changes and cuts proposed by the Trump Administration, 24
million people would be negatively impacted. On Friday, the Trump
administration withdrew the proposed bill due to insufficient
support. The plan would have revised the program in three stages.
