Trump, who was inaugurated on Jan. 20, was extended an
invitation by the Nationals but declined, a team spokesman told
ESPN.
Former presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush threw out
ceremonial first pitches at Nationals games previously.

The Cleveland Indians finalized a five-year contract with club
options for the 2022 and 2023 seasons with infielder Jose
Ramirez.
Ramirez's deal is worth $26 million guaranteed and includes a $2
million signing bonus, Cleveland.com reports. He could make as
much as $50 million over the life of the deal.

Outfielder Peter Bourjos was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays in
exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations
after an impressive spring training with the Chicago White Sox.
The deal opens playing time for one of the White Sox's top
prospects, Jacob May.
The Rays needed outfield help because Colby Rasmus is headed for
the disabled list to start the season.
