			- State of Illinois Paratransit Vehicle Grant for expansion of 
			service for LMPT for Logan and Mason Counties.  
			 
			Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the 
			County of Logan. 
			 
			On: Monday, May 8th, 2017  
			 
			At: 10:00 a.m.

			Lincoln, IL 62656 
			 
			 
			I. --- For the 
			purpose of considering a project for which financial assistance is 
			being sought from the Illinois Department of Transportation, 
			pursuant to the Illinois Department of Transportation’s general 
			authority to make such Grants, and which is generally described as 
			follows: Request is for 1 additional minivan with ramp that will 
			transport 2 wheelchairs/5 passengers costing $41,000.00 and 3 
			additional medium duty paratransit vehicles with lifts that will 
			transport 5 wheelchairs/14 passengers at a cost of $63,000.00 each.   
			
				- 
				
These vehicles 
				will be used to provide paratransit service and deviated route 
				service for Mason and Logan Counties.  
			 
			
			This project will be included in a Consolidated 
			Vehicle Procurement Program undertaken by the State of Illinois on 
			behalf of Logan County with State and Federal funds. 
			
				- 
				
Relocation – 
				Relocation Assistance will not be provided.

Environment – This 
				project is being implemented to minimize environmental impact. 
   
				- 
				
Comprehensive 
				Planning – This project is in conformance with comprehensive 
				transportation planning in the area. 
   
				- 
				
Elderly and 
				Disabled – All new equipment included in this project will meet 
				ADA accessibility rules for the elderly and persons with 
				disabilities.  
			 
			
II. ---  At the hearing the 
County of Logan will afford an opportunity for interested persons or agencies to 
be heard with respect to the social, economic and environmental aspects of the 
project. Interested persons may submit orally or in writing, evidence and 
recommendations with respect to said project. 
  
III. ---  A copy of the 
application for a state grant for the proposed project for the intended service 
area will be made available for public inspection at Logan County, at the Logan 
County Courthouse, County Board Office, Room #16, 601 Broadway, Lincoln, IL 
62656.
