In the final scene of the 1939 classic movie, ‘The
Wizard of Oz,’ Dorothy awakens from a dream saying these famous
words, “There’s no place like home! There’s no place like home!
There’s no place like home!”
The sentiment she expresses is shared by us all. The qualities of
home are important to us. At home are the people that we love, the
comforts that we crave, the rest that we need, the hope that we
share, and the things that we own. At home we are usually at our
best. At home we express our creativity and dream our dreams. At
home we find the freedom to be ourselves. Home is important to us
all.
While home is meant to be a dependable quality, home is seldom
static. We are always thinking about how we can improve our home,
reshape our abode, recolor our world and rearrange our home
experience. Home needs to keep up with our ever expanding thought
world. And home needs to provide for the way we think and feel.
All these changes to home will be governed by the inspiration that
we receive, the budget that we have, and the abilities that we
possess. This version of LDN Home and Garden
is here to help you expand on all three: to give you inspiration, to
help you be able to do more with the budget that you have, and to
help grow the abilities that you have.
