May 5 (The Sports Xchange) - Former Chicago Bears quarterback Jay
Cutler agreed to a contract with Fox Sports on Friday after a tepid
free-agent market helped guide the 34-year-old into broadcasting.
Cutler's contract places him on the number two NFL broadcast team at
Fox
Cutler spent the past eight seasons with the Bears. But he was let
go in March and no serious suitors emerged. Cutler has not
officially retired from the NFL, however.
The network was seeking a replacement for John Lynch after the
latter became the San Francisco 49ers' general manager in the
offseason.
Cutler will be part of a three-man booth with Kevin Burkhardt and
Charles Davis.

The Baltimore Ravens signed five of their first seven picks --
including first-round cornerback Marlon Humphrey.
Humphrey, who starred at Alabama, was linked to a four-year deal
after being selected with the 16th overall pick in last week's
draft. The 20-year-old is the son of former Denver Broncos running
back Bobby Humphrey.
Baltimore also signed second-round linebacker Tyus Bowser,
fourth-round guard Nico Siragusa, fifth-round offensive lineman
Jermaine Eluemunor and sixth-round safety Chuck Clark.

The Carolina
Panthers signed four more 2017 draft picks -- second-round wide
receiver Curtis Samuel, third-round defensive end Daeshon Hall,
fifth-round cornerback Corn Elder and seventh-round kicker Harrison
Butker -- ahead of Friday's rookie minicamp.
The Panthers' entire draft class of 2017 is signed. All drafted
rookies get four-year contracts.
Running back Christian McCaffrey on Thursday became the first
first-round pick from this year's draft to sign his rookie deal. He
