Dr. David Gerlach is the 22nd president of Lincoln
College, a liberal arts college with campuses in Lincoln and Normal,
IL. Lincoln College, founded in 1865 and the only college named for
Abraham Lincoln while he was still living, has begun transforming
back to its roots as Lincoln University by adding additional
bachelor degrees at the Lincoln campus.

Dr. Gerlach has more than 30 years of education experience,
including spending the last 11 years as vice president for
advancement at the State University of New York at Canton, which is
located about 30 miles from the Canadian border in rural upstate New
York. His selection was a result of his strong background and track
record in student services, enrollment management, and fundraising.
At Canton he led the school to its highest student enrollment
numbers in four of the last six years, multiplied the campus
foundation’s financial assets, earned provisional membership in NCAA
Division III athletics, doubled the number of student athletes, and
was the lead developer in building a $27 million residence hall.
