Memorial Medical Center to Hold Free Seminar on Back Problems

[May 15, 2017]  SPRINGFIELD – Memorial Medical Center will host a free seminar on back problems on Tuesday, May 23, at the Memorial Center for Learning and Innovation, 228 W. Miller St.

The program, “State-of-the-Art Treatment for Back Problems,” begins at 6 p.m. in the H.D. Smith Tiered Classroom on the second floor.

The 60-minute program will feature Dr. Timothy VanFleet, an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in spine treatment and back pain, with Orthopedic Center of Illinois in Springfield.

He will discuss available treatment for lumbar disorders, current lumbar syndromes and causes for pain, symptoms associated with commonly treated back problems, and anatomical causes for pain syndromes.

Free parking is available in the Memorial Center for Learning and Innovation's parking garage at Rutledge and Carpenter streets.
