Freight train derails at Elkhart

At approximately 10 p.m. on Monday a
freight train derailed at Elkhart.
An unconfirmed report said that the train was 78 units long, one
engine and 77 cars with 18 cars off the track.
Some of the damaged train cars were transporting autos.
Site damages include tracks, a metal shed, power lines, RR crossing
box.
People are asked to avoid the area to allow work crews to clean up.
Amtrak trains between St. Louis and Chicago will experience delays
and/or cancellations.
