Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett told ESPN 710 Seattle
that he believes former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin
Kaepernick would be a great fit with the Seahawks, who are the
defending NFC West champions.
"I think that Kaepernick getting the opportunity to be on our team
would be really cool, would really be a good place for him because
you have a coach like coach (Pete) Carroll who is up for challenges
like that," Bennett said.
Bennett cited the Seahawks' organizational commitment to the
community as a reason why Kaepernick would be a good fit. Kaepernick
made headlines last season when he decided to kneel during the
national anthem to protest wrongdoings against African Americans and
minorities throughout the country.

Arizona Cardinals linebacker Deone Bucannon recently underwent ankle
surgery and will be sidelined for three to four months, according to
coach Bruce Arians.
Bucannon initially injured the ankle in November and was eventually
placed on injured reserve. The ligaments didn't heal and the
surgical procedure is expected to help solve the issue.

Arians said there is an outside chance Bucannon could
recover in time for the season opener against the Detroit Lions on
Sept. 10.
