Houston star James Harden is the subject of a civil lawsuit filed by
Moses Malone Jr. that alleges the Rockets' guard orchestrated a
beating and robbery last summer after he was angered by a Facebook
post from Malone.
Malone alleges that Harden paid $20,000 to have him beaten.
Harden was allegedly peeved at Malone's comments on June 24, 2016,
that sharply criticized Harden for charging $249 for his basketball
camp.
Malone told police he was repeatedly punched and kicked and robbed
of $50,000 in jewelry.
Malone, the son of Hall of Famer Moses Malone, claims to have had
text message exchanges with people indicating Harden was involved.

Golden State Warriors forward Andre Iguodala remains questionable
for Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals against the San Antonio
Spurs on Tuesday night despite an MRI exam on his left knee
revealing no structural damage.
Iguodala, 33, was hampered by knee soreness during the team's
second-round playoff series against the Utah Jazz. He played just 10
minutes in the Warriors' come-from-behind 113-111 win over the Spurs
in Game 1, scoring two points.
The former NBA Finals MVP missed practice on Monday and was a
limited participant during the on-court work in practice ahead of
Sunday's series opener.

The Orlando Magic, who fired general manager Rob
Hennigan a few weeks ago, recently asked for permission to talk to
Cleveland general manager David Griffin regarding Orlando's
president of basketball operations opening, but Cavs owner Dan
Gilbert has not responded, according to The Vertical.
Griffin's contract with the Cavs expires at the end of June, and the
Cavaliers have the right to keep Griffin through the NBA draft on
June 22, and can forbid him from talking with the Magic until free
agency begins on July 1.
Gilbert may merely be trying to stall for time, hoping the Magic
will simply look elsewhere to fill their vacancy rather than wait to
discuss the opportunity with Griffin. It is also possible Gilbert
simply wants to wait until the Cavaliers' playoff run is over before
responding to Orlando's request.
