The theme was “Don’t Drink Drugs, Alcohol is a Drug.”
All entries were to demonstrate the value of not drinking.
We are pleased to announce that Hannah Crider, a 12th grader from a
home school in Lincoln, was an individual winner and received a
certificate of achievement and a t-shirt with a prevention message.
The winning posters were displayed in the State Capitol Rotunda.
Lynn Allen, the Youth Director at Illinois Churches in Action said,
“Alcohol is the most widely used drug among youth. The posters are a
great way to highlight the benefits of not drinking alcohol,
especially during adolescence when the brain is still developing.”
