One morning each year
the large display barn at the Logan County Fair grounds is filled
with plants for sale. The sale opens at 8:30 a.m. and by 11 a.m.
pretty much empty. How does that happen so fast?
It's easy for Master Gardeners who have worked hard for weeks
preparing. They do it with lots of prior organization and all hands
on deck during the event. From the outside entry point to check out,
people were stationed to direct and assist. Plants are organized by
sun, shade and purpose. Large signs and picture boards strategically
placed.

The sale even included a manned
reference station to answer questions.
While the sale is over, the gardeners
will continue work all year round, but this is the cusp of their
'fun' season - planting and then maintaining plants and seeing
beautiful things happen. |
