[May 19, 2017]  ATLANTA - Marjorie A. Coleman, 87, of Atlanta, passed away at 10:10 p.m. on Sunday, April 30, 2017, at Hopedale Nursing Home in Hopedale.

Visitation: Thursday, May 4, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Atlanta Christian Church.

Service: Friday, May 5, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at the church

Funeral home: Quiram Peasley Funeral Home, Atlanta

Obituary

Marjorie A. Coleman, 87, of Atlanta, passed away at 10:10 p.m. on Sunday, April 30, 2017, at Hopedale Nursing Home in Hopedale.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Atlanta Christian Church.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at the Atlanta Christian Church. Mr. Maurice Stribling will officiate.

Burial will follow at the Atlanta Cemetery.

Marjorie Ann Rogers was born Aug. 14, 1929, in Eminence Township, the daughter of Barrett F. and Maude L. Adams Rogers. She was united in marriage with James Coleman on Dec. 27, 1953, at the Atlanta Christian Church. He survives.

Also surviving are their children: James Gregory (Paula) Coleman, Julia (Larry) Fosdick, Ronald (Jacque) Coleman, Laura Coleman, and John (Emily) Coleman; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and many special nieces and nephews.

Funeral Director

She was preceded in death by one brother: Barrett Wayne Rogers.

Marge was a member of the Atlanta Christian Church, but grew up also involved in the Eminence Christian Church community. She served her community through participation on the A-Team and as a volunteer with the J.H. Hawes Grain Elevator Museum in Atlanta. She had worked as Supervisor of Assessment for Logan County.

Memorial contributions may be made to Atlanta Christian Church, J.H. Hawes Grain Elevator Museum, or the Atlanta Public Library.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home of Atlanta.
