			- Charles Mounce, 88, of Bloomington, formerly of Lincoln, 
			peacefully entered into Heaven’s gates on Tuesday morning May 9, 
			2017.

							Obituary 
							 
							Charles Mounce, 88, of Bloomington, formerly of 
							Lincoln, peacefully entered into Heaven’s gates on 
							Tuesday morning May 9, 2017. He was born in Lincoln, 
							May 19, 1928. He was preceded in death by his wife 
							Pat, a sister, Maxine Voyles, his parents, Mike and 
							Johanna Marie (Nagle) Mounce, and two grandsons. 
							 
							Charles is survived by his four children; Charlotte 
							(Mike) Horath of Atlanta, Linda (Dale) Rogers of 
							Heyworth, Rodney Mounce of Gifford, and David (Lyn) 
							Mounce of Downs. He was also blessed with 12 
							grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 5 
							great-great-grandchildren. 
							 
							Charles (Charlie) grew up in Lawndale, then Lincoln. 
							He married Patricia Jane Scott on September 13, 
							1947. He started working as a Ford Mechanic at 
							Langelliers on S. Chicago Street in Lincoln. He 
							retired from there after 42 years, and was known for 
							his superb ability to “fix what was broken”. He was 
							involved in stock car racing and streets rods. He 
							was a member of The National Street Rod Association 
							for 25 years. He also enjoyed camping and fishing.  | 
							
							 
                    
					  
							He was a member of The Lincoln Christian Church. 
							After Charles and Pat moved to Bloomington they 
							joined The Eastview Christian Church and were 
							instrumental in starting The Eastview Spirit Lifters 
							for Seniors. They enjoyed many years of traveling 
							with that group around the United States. 
							 
							A Celebration of Life for Charles will be held at 
							10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 
							Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home (127 S. Logan 
							St. in Lincoln). Visitation will be held one hour 
							prior to the service on Saturday (9:00-10:00 a.m. 
							Burial will follow the services at Zion Cemetery in 
							Lincoln.  
							 
							Memorial donations may be made in Charles’ name to 
							Heritage Health, 700 E. Walnut St. in Bloomington.
