Joyce spent most of her life caring for her husband and kids.
Later in life she was a librarian at Milner Library. She retired
from Illinois State University. Joyce could prepare a delicious
meal out of a few modest ingredients and make it look
effortless. She was always gracious and loving. She was smart,
uncommonly intuitive, and had a wonderful sense of humor.
She had a knack for making each of her six children feel like
they were her favorite. She made her sons- and daughters- in-law
feel like they were her own. She was adored by her grandchildren
and great-grandchildren.
Joyce was the hub of the family. She was the glue that held us
all together and she'll be deeply missed, but she is reunited
with her beloved husband. They are dancing together again.
Memorials may be made to McLean Christian Church.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley Funeral
Home of Atlanta.
