Fire damages Lincoln Banquet

LINCOLN
- Lincoln Fire Department released the following statement in regard
to the Tuesday afternoon fire on Lincoln's west side in the business
district at the Lincoln Banquet Center on Madigan Drive.

Structure fire in a commercial building

Alarm time: 4:15 p.m.
Control time: 4:35 p.m.
Lincoln Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire in
a commercial building used as a banquet hall. First units reported
fire and smoke condition in the building.
Lincoln Fire, off-duty firefighters, Lincoln Rural Fire, Atlanta
Fire, Logan County Paramedics and Lincoln Police worked on the scene
for several hours. Mount Pulaski Fire stood by Lincoln Fire
Department to handle any other incidents. Twenty one firefighters
battled the blaze.

No injuries were reported after the incident.
There was an estimated $60,000 damage to the one building and contents.
The cause is being investigated, no suspicious activity is reported at this
time.
