LINCOLN
- The Logan County Young Professionals Network is excited to once
again sponsor and coordinate the Swigs Craft Beer Garden events in
downtown Lincoln of Friday June 2 and Saturday June 3. This is the
third year for the event that will welcome over 10 breweries, along
with a distillery or two. The YPN will also provide two draft wagons
with an additional 10 taps with the committee’s favorite brews.
Along with the opportunity to try several local craft beer
selections, the beer garden provides musical entertainment, a
homebrew competition, bags competition and VIP food and brew tasting
experience.
Friday June 2
The event kicks off with this year’s VIP food and brew pairing.
Featuring 4 tasting portions of food from Bean Sprouts and
complimentary beers from Spirited Republic. The event opens at 5
p.m. and will include early admission, all the benefits of the
Friday night package (a $20.00 value) and a souvenir t-shirt.
Discounted tickets are available now at the Lincoln/Logan County
Chamber of Commerce offices.
The Swigs festivities begin at 6 p.m. with the breweries and
distilleries serving until 10:30 p.m. Local musical duo
“Brother-Sister” will perform from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Back by demand,
“Imagine That Band” will play from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Saturday June 3
Activities begin at 11 a.m. with the Homebrew Competition turn-in
and the Bag Tournament registration.
A panel of judges will score and award best homebrew awards in six
categories and then pit the winners against each other for an

with cash payout. There will also hold a last man standing tourney
during the bags intermission.
Breweries and distilleries will be back serving from 4 p.m. to 10:30
