Hartsburg-Emden loses in Sectional Championship to West Prairie

[November 01, 2017]    The Hartem Volleyball Team lost Wednesday night in the Class 1A Sectional Championship at Brimfield. The Stags were defeated in three sets by West Prairie, the defending Class 1A State Champions. The Stags put up a fight but lost 23-25, 25-21 and 12-25.

Anna Hayes led the Stags with 27 kills.

Following the season ending match, Hartem Coach Jennifer Hayes said, “It was a tough loss. We lost to a very solid experienced team. We have a lot of young players that lack experience and the older team won. I couldn’t be any more proud of the team I have and the effort they gave. It was a toss up going into tonight and the coin didn’t fall in our favor.”

Hartem ends the season with a 32-7 record.
