Lynx Basketball - Men Dominate H-LJV in Season Opener

The Lincoln College Men’s Basketball team tipped off the 2017-2018 season with a 100-59 win over the Hannibal-LaGrange Junior Varsity squad.

Transfer sensation Louis Griffin (Washington) made a big impact in his LC debut by scoring 23 points. Griffin went 9 for 16 from the field hitting five three-pointers. Other Lynx who scored in double digits included Trayvon Tyler (Rockford) and Edwin Rivera (Puerto Rico). Rivera, who was also making his first appearance for Lincoln College, led the team with eight rebounds.

Lincoln College Head Coach Pat Lepper was pleased with his team’s production in their first action of the year. Lepper said, “We played hard, played smart and played together. If we can keep bringing that level of play every night, it should equal great success for us this year.”
