The Lincoln College Women’s Basketball team started off the
2017-2018 season on the right foot with a 76-72 win at home over
Southeastern Community College (IA).
The victory did not come easy for Lincoln as the team trailed by
seven at halftime (46-39). However, LC came out with renewed energy
in the second half and outscored their opponent 17 to 9 in the third
quarter to take the lead for good at 56-55. Lincoln kept up their
strong pace of play in the fourth quarter to win by four.
Sophomore guard Nautica Preston (Chicago) led all scorers with 20
points going four-for-nine from beyond the three-point arc.
