Pam Moriearty’s photo of
a rustic lantern would provide a rich pop of color to a
casual or country setting. This piece, as well as
artworks and décor by 12 other local artists, will be in
Logan County Arts’ silent auction at the Lincoln Art
Institute Gallery on November 9, 2017. |

LINCOLN
- To cap their 2017 exhibit season, Logan County Arts members will
hold their annual Holiday Show and Shop event at the Lincoln Art
Institute Gallery at 112 S. McLean St, Lincoln.
The show will open with a reception from 5 to 8 p.m.
on Thursday, November 9, 2017.

For this
event, the artists will present a wide variety of items suitable as
gifts and holiday decor, including original artwork and photography
with local and nature themes, unique decorated serving trays,
Scandinavian ornaments, interior décor, greeting cards, and other
holiday decorations. According to gallerist Moses Pinkerton, the
holiday show has been a success in the past. “People appreciate the
chance to select a gift that is special, one of a kind. And the
artists are showing works that will appeal to all ages, at prices
that won’t break the bank.”
In
addition, a unique feature of the show this year will be a silent
auction, to take place between 5 and 7 pm during the opening. Each
artist has donated a piece for the bidding, and all proceeds will go
to the upkeep of the Art Institute Gallery.
